Custom Password Protected Solutions
Although the .htaccess manager script was written to try and solve most customers' needs for password protection,
you may find the need for a custom solution to get the job done. We have included a few scenarios below along with some links
to sample sites for you to see the software in action. Please feel free to contact us for a free quote
on your project. We have been around since 1995 and have helped hundreds of webmasters and site owners in setting up password protected sites.
- .htgroup support [gadmin.cgi] PRICE : $99
This application allows you to assign users to one or more groups when adding them to the system. You can then
protect directories and tell it which group or groups will have access to these folders. You can also restrict a
folder to only allow specific users and even restrict access to users logging in from specific IP addresses.
For this demo, you can
- Login to the admin.cgi script.
Feel free to add users and assign them to groups. When protecting a directory, separate the list of users or groups with a comma. If you want to add a new member to the "ibm" folder, then preced the username with "ibm-" (ibm-john for example).
This allows you to have multiple clients access to the same directory and then you can protect sub-folders and restrict access to specific individuals within the same company.
- Login as a member
username : intel password : intel
Note how you will be automatically redirected to the intel folder even though you are sent to the members directory.
After you login, you can use the web based file manager to view files in your directory and even send files to the server through your browser. In this example, uploaded files are preceded with the username so you can keep track of who is uploading files.
- Multi-Client directory [uadmin.cgi] PRICE : $99
This program will create a separate folder for each new member that you add, in addition, it will protect that member's folder
so only they can access the documents in there. We also include a redirect.cgi script so when each member logs in, they are redirected to their
individual/private folder
